In Short:LJUBLJANA – Slovenian prime minister Borut Pahor says he expects a junior coalition party, Zares, to leave the government by Saturday after a series of government defeats in referendums over recent months.

The centre-left government would be left with only 33 out of 90 parliamentary seats, which analysts say would increase the possibility of early elections.

Mr Pahor told a news conference yesterday that he still hoped to lead the government until regular elections, due in autumn 2012. – (Reuters)
