A Colombian radio journalist was shot to death today by unidentified men on a motorbike in the seventh killing of a reporter this year in the war-torn Andean nation.
Mr Jose Dubiel Vasquez, who ran a local radio station in the city of Florencia in southern Colombia, was driving his car when a motorbike carrying two men pulled up beside him, and they killed him with two bullets.
He was taken to hospital but he was dead by the time he arrived. Mr Vasquez took over running the Voice of the Jungle radio station after his predecessor was murdered in similar circumstances in December2000. Mr Vasquez, (40), was married with three children.
