Mr Patrick Curran (29) was last seen in the Break for the Border pub in Dublin on the night of December 7th. A building site worker, he was with friends celebrating a foreman's stag party.

He left at around 1.30 am. on Sunday, and gardai are concerned because he left his leather jacket behind. There was nothing in the pockets, apart from an old ticket.

Yesterday his brother, John, said it was "totally out of character" for Patrick to disappear.

His workmates contacted his family the following Tuesday. They assumed he had gone home to Kerry when he failed to turn up for work on Monday.

Mr Curran had been living in Dublin for three years. He worked for the apartment developer, Zoe Developments.

John Curran said his brother had no money worries, and was not involved in a serious relationship.

His bank account and passport have not been touched since he disappeared. John and his other brother, Danny, have been searching the city for the last week.

Mr Curran lived with friends from Kerry at Glendalough Road in Drumcondra. He is 5ft 10in tall with light brown hair and a light moustache. On the night he disappeared he was wearing a blue denim shirt, with black trousers and black shoes.

Mr Curran's friends have set up an information line at his house on (01) 857-0280 and information can be given to the gardai at Mountjoy station (01) 830-1720.

Gardai and Civil Defence volunteers have been searching the south Dublin and Wicklow area for Ms Siobhan Murphy (32), who disappeared last Friday. She left her house in Casement Park in Bray at around 3.20 p.m. to walk to the DART station where her car was parked.

She had been working as a chef in Donegal for some time and had been doing a training course in Dublin. She commuted by DART.

She is 5ft 3in tall, of stocky build, with reddish straight hair cut in a bob. She was wearing blue jeans, a "grandfather" shirt and a trench coat.

Gardai have reports of sightings of a woman fitting her description at Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, and Killiney, Co Dublin, in the last two days.

In Athlone town a sub-aqua unit has been searching the Shannon river after Ms Joan Reynolds (27) went missing on December 7th. She was last seen by her family when she had coffee with her mother in the Prince of Wales hotel in Athlone, Co Westmeath. The family lives at Drumraney outside Athlone.

She left the hotel at around 8.30 a.m. According to one garda, her mother thought she was going to the toilet. She is 5ft 6in tall with shoulder length red-hair and is of stocky build. She was wearing a purple jacket and black jeans.

A local person reported seeing a woman in a distressed state in Burgess Park near the river later that morning. Anyone with information should contact gardai at Athlone (0902) 92609.

Gardai in Dundrum, Co Dublin, have no leads on the whereabouts of Eoin Madden (17), who has been missing from his home at Beechlawn since September 30th. He is 6ft 2in tall, of slim build, with blue eyes and short, light brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a green jumper and a brown leather jacket.
