Low-fare airlines: Pay €1 for a ticket and you should expect €1 worth of customer service.
However, on the same Ryanair flight you could have someone paying €1 sitting beside someone who had to book late and has spent €200 plus. Now that person has reason to complain with the poor service offered by Ryanair. If every ticket was €1, then you could expect low customer service. But at least half the plane is "full fare". - Colm
This morning, I paid €18 extra to check in one bag for both myself and my partner on a week's holiday, this with Aer Lingus. It's just infuriating to see a fare advertised in the paper, find out it's only available midweek, then get the extra charges slapped on. What is even more annoying is that travel insurance is included as a default, catching many regular punters out. It's time to bring the regulations down hard on the cheap airline industry. - Steve K
