Thumbs up:Hats off to the people in Aldi who have slashed the price of their fresh fruit and vegetables for the rest of January.

Mushrooms, broccoli, iceberg lettuce, carrots, cucumbers and salad potatoes which have a normal price of 1.19 are all selling for a flat rate of 49 cent for the rest of the month.

Thumbs up:Ahead of St Valentine's Day, Marmite has released a special jar of the spread people either love or loathe. The one-off release contains a hint of champagne along with its usual ingredients of yeast and vegetable extracts plus salt. Just 600,000 limited-edition jars of the "Lovers' Marmite" are going on sale. The gold-coloured label proclaims "I love you" and "for my lovely Marmite lover". So that's the Pricewatch Valentine's Day present sorted then - or maybe not.
