A report in yesterday's editions stated that Dr Sean McCarthy had dropped out of the election. In fact, Dr McCarthy, a former minister for science and technology, has not dropped out. He is standing as a Fianna Fail candidate for both Tipperary South Riding County Council and Cashel Urban District Council.

Mr Gearoid O'Keeffe, an independent local election candidate in Stillorgan Ward (part of Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council), was omitted from the list of independent candidates in Dublin in the editions of June 1st.
