Cardigan - A Catholic priest has re-blessed his church after catching a courting couple making love near the altar. Father James Cunnane (62) was locking up the town centre church when he heard sounds. He went to investigate and found the near-naked young couple having sex. Police arrived moments later at the Church of Our Lady of the Taper in Cardigan, West Wales, but the pair had run off. It is believed the couple chose the dais near the altar because it is the only carpeted area of the church. - (PA)
