A married couple in their 50s were found stabbed to death at their Dublin home late last night. Gardai were called to the house at Ravensdale Road in East Wall. The bodies are believed to have been there for some days.
The detective unit at Store Street Garda Station is investigation the incident and a man was early this morning helping with inquiries.
Details of the incident were sketchy but the scene was being preserved. According to the gardai, the couple's bodies were discovered between 11.30 p.m. and midnight.
It was unclear early this morning whether the knife used in the stabbing was found at the scene. Store Street station covers the East Wall area but gardai could not confirm who raised the alarm.
