A married couple in their 30s have been arrested following the discovery of £50,000-worth of ecstasy.
The seizure happened last night at a bog near Athlone, Co Westmeath following an operation by the Divisional Drugs Unit.
The are being held at Longford and Athlone Garda stations under section three of the Drugs Trafficking Act.
During a subsequent search, Gardaí discovered cannabis worth £2,500.
