Members of three Ballymun families have been remanded for sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on public order offences arising out of an inter-family feud about rubbish bins.

Members of three Ballymun families have been remanded for sentence by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court on public order offences arising out of an inter-family feud about rubbish bins.
David Cray, Balbutcher Drive, Eugene McElligott of Balbutcher Lane, John Paul McElligott of Crannogue Close and Edward McElligott of Balcurris Road all admitted engaging in violent disorder on October 17th, 2001.
Sean and Theresa Cray of Balbutcher Drive and Michael Fitzpatrick of Doon Court pleaded guilty to breach of the peace on the same occasion.
Judge Michael White remanded them on bail for sentence to July 4th next.
Michael Devoy (31), Balbutcher Drive, Ballymun was jailed for four years by Judge Frank O'Donnell last week after a jury convicted him of issuing threats to kill John and David Cray on May 6th, 2002, in the row about their bins which began on September 11th, 2001.
Rubbish dumper is fined €1,000
A man convicted of dumping rubbish on a road outside a closed dump was fined €1,000 yesterday and banned from driving for a year.
Vincent Walsh, Berryfield Road, Finglas, Dublin, was fined in his absence after the city's District Court heard a member of the public spotted a truck registered in his name dumping rubbish at the entrance to Dunsink Tiphead where tonnes of rubbish are left by illegal dumpers to block the road and gate almost every weekend.
Jury still out in baby murder case
A jury was sent to a hotel overnight in the trial of a father accused of the murder of his 20-month-old baby son.
In the Central Criminal Court, Mr Yusif Ali Abdi (30), a refugee from Somalia, with an address at The Elms, College Road, Clane, Co Kildare, has pleaded not guilty to the murder of his son, Nathan Baraka Andrew Ali, on April 17th, 2001 in the apartment at College Road, Clane.
3 jailed for phone shop robbery
Two men who attempted to rob a Ballyfermot mobile phone shop using an imitation handgun last year have been jailed for six years by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.
Their accomplice, who was in the getaway vehicle outside, was jailed for two years.
Michael Byrne (39), of St Teresa's Road, Dublin, and Sean Fleming (43), of St Teresa's Gardens, Dublin, both pleaded guilty to attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm at O'Hagan's Communications shop on Ballyfermot Road on March 12th, 2002.
William Abbott (35), of Rose Court Apartments, New Cabra Road, Dublin, pleaded guilty to attempted robbery.
Feud survivor on theft charge
A man who was shot in the chest during a gangland feud in Dublin last January appeared before Galway District Court this week, where he was sent forward for trial to next month's sitting of Galway Circuit Criminal Court.
Mr Sean Buckley, Kilworth Road, Drimnagh, Dublin, was charged with the theft of 23 football jerseys, worth €1,215, from Staunton's Sportswear Shop, Galway, on August 27th last year.
