The Minister for Health and Children, Mr Cowen, has expressed sympathy with parents whose children's organs were retained "for the pain and suffering that has been caused".
Yesterday he met representatives of Parents for Justice and acknowledged the distress caused by the controversy.
He assured the representatives that his Department would work with Parents for Justice in a sensitive fashion so that, within an agreed framework, they could deal with the concerns.
