Colm Coyle is set to take the place of Jack Carville as Monaghan manager having been appointed to the role this afternoon.
Coyle, who has been a Meath selector since 2000 and an integral part of Sean Boylan’s set up, was top of the list for the Monaghan County board.
Coyle has been hugely influential in the ‘Royal County’ both as a coach, selector and a player.
Along with Martin O’Cahill he holds three All-Ireland medals for meath and has won the Meath SFC with Seneschalstown as player-manager, having also guided St Ultan’s to a Leinster final defeat to Kilmacud Crokes.
