A man accused of causing the death of a two-year-old boy by dangerous driving is to face a drink-driving charge, the High Court in Belfast heard yesterday.

A Crown lawyer said Mr James Gilroy (24), had been drinking before last Saturday's accident near Enniskillen when Joshua Wilson was killed.

The lawyer said the child's mother and sister were also seriously injured when Mr Gilroy's car crashed into their parked car. Lord Justice Campbell said as Mr Gilroy had no criminal record he was prepared to grant bail.

Mr Gilroy was released on his own bail of £500 with three sureties of £5,000 each, banned from driving until his trial and ordered not to consume alcohol.
