Death of man in Meath treated as suspicious

Gardaí are awaiting the results of further forensic tests

Gardaí are now treating the discovery of a body in Co Meath as suspicious although further test results are awaited.

The man has been identified as Slawomir Bartoszak (33). His remains were found outside a house in Ratoath on Wednesday morning after gardaí were alerted.

On attending the scene they discovered that the deceased had suffered head injuries.

He was found lying at the gable end of the building.

The body was taken to the morgue in Navan General Hospital. The office of the State Pathologist was notified and a postmortem was carried out.

The Garda Technical Bureau also conducted a forensic examination at the house with test results expected to reveal more important information on what took place.
