Gardaí have launched a criminal investigation into the shooting of two men in Ballyfermot last night.

Gardaí have launched a criminal investigation into the shooting of two men in Ballyfermot last night.

The men, one aged 53-year-old and another in his 20s, were shot at on Clifden Drive about 10.20pm.

Both men were taken to St James hospital and their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Investigators have sealed off the area for technical investigation.

Gardaí in Ballyfermot are appealing for anyone with information or who may have seen suspicious behaviour to contact them on 01 6667200 or any garda station.
