Omagh bomb accused remanded in custody for four weeks

The only man charged in connection with the Omagh Bomb of 1998 has been remanded in custody for further four weeks.

Seamus Daly, who is charged with murdering the 29 victims, appeared at Omagh Magistrates Court by videolink from Maghaberry prison.

Judge Bernie Kelly said she hoped the prosecution would have come to a preliminary decision by now.

She remanded 44 year old Daly, of Kilnasaggart Road, Jonesborough, Co Armagh, in continuing custody until December 30th.
