A man (35) has been shot dead in Tallaght, Co Dublin.

Two men aged 28 and 18 have been arrested in connection with the incident which happened at Kiltalown Road at about 10.30pm on Wednesday night.

Garda sources said they believe the killing is linked to the drugs trade. The main line of inquiry being explored is that the dead man owed money to a west Dublin drugs gang and was killed in a dispute over the non payment of that debt.
