Two men have been arrested following the discovery of 120 cannabis plants in a house in Co Galway.
The discovery was made during a Garda search of a house at Kilgarve Court in Ballinasloe yesterday morning. In addition to the plants, which were being cultivated on the premises, a quantity of harvested cannabis was also found.
The drugs have a combined street value of €100,000, a Garda spokesman said.
Two men in their 30s were arrested at the scene and are being detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Ballinasloe and Loughrea Garda Stations, where they can be held for up to seven days.
