Daewoo Motors expects to receive a takeover offer from General Motors and Fiat by June but is continuing its restructuring efforts.

The company has achieved 53 per cent of its 999.2 billion Korean won annual cost-cut target in the first two months of 2001.

It is targeting a break-even output level of 550,000 vehicles in South Korea, compared with 1.18 million earlier.
