The case of a woman infected with hepatitis C who is claiming damages from the Blood Transfusion Service Board will be heard on May 28th, the High Court has decided. Ms Mary Quinlan of Greenhills, Brownshill Road, Carlow, who has eight children, is suing the BTSB, which has admitted liability the National Drugs Advisory Board; the Minister for Health and the State. A previous court hearing was told that Ms Quinlan was suffering, from liver damage which was likely to be fatal and there was concern the case should proceed as soon as possible.
