A TOTAL of 18 months' imprisonment was imposed on the daughter of the jailed Dublin criminal, Tony Felloni, when she pleaded guilty to a series of charges involving stolen property at the Circuit Criminal Court in Galway yesterday.

Judge Harvey Kenny ordered that the sentence should run consecutively to a 2 1/2 year jail term which Ann Felloni (25) began serving in connection with unrelated offences last month.

Felloni, of Dominick Street Flats, Dublin, was charged with handling £755 worth of goods, including CDs, audio tapes, two bracelets and a holdall bag at Corrib Village in Galway on August 19th, 1995, knowing the goods to be stolen.

Garda Marie Horsman said that the Garda obtained a search warrant for an apartment at the Corrib Village complex at Newcastle in Galway, where they recovered the stolen items.

Felloni, who had three children aged between five and eight, was arrested and made a full statement admitting her guilt.

Garda Peadar Ryan told the court that Felloni had 23 previous convictions, mostly for larceny, assault and criminal damage, relating to the period between 1986 and 1992. She was now serving a 2 1/2 year sentence since last month, arising out of those offences.

Ms Geri Silke BL, defending, asked Judge Kenny to take into account the fact that Felloni was in the second stage of AIDS and had three young children.

However, Judge Kenny said that Felloni had a long record of misdemeanours and felonies, and added that the early-release prison system had allowed her to commit further crimes.

Judge Kenny imposed a jail sentence of 18 months, to be served consecutive to the sentence she is currently serving.
