Dawn Farm Foods is set to create some 100 new jobs as part of a €28 million investment in a new food science innovation centre in Naas, Co Kildare.

The new jobs will increase the number of people employed by Dawn Farm Foods to 580 by 2011. Some of the investment will also go into research and development, with staff in that sector doubling to 30.

Company chief executive Larry Murrin said Dawn Farm Foods is hoping to deepen its penetration into continental European markets, adding that the new investment would mark the next phase in the company's growth.
