Two noted photographers died suddenly yesterday.

Mr Dave O'Connor (67) had covered all the major events in the north Wicklow area for the past 35 years. He was a former director of Bray Wanderers Football Club.

In his work with the Bray People, Mr O'Connor gathered an archive of images of the town over 35 years. He is survived by his wife, Marie, and sons Ciaran and Ken.

Mr Martin Wright (49) also died yesterday after a heart attack. Mr Wright owned the Belfast photographic agency Pacemaker Press. An award-winning photographer, he is survived by his wife, Sharon, and two children.
