The Department of Defence denied it has turned down a request to publish a consultants' report on the Naval Service and Air Corps.
A spokesman for the Department said yesterday a draft report of the survey by Price Waterhouse Consultants had been delivered to the Governments' Efficiency Audit Group, which was considering it and would possibly seek further information before making its recommendations to the Minister of Defence and the Marine, Mr Barrett. The spokesman said the Minister had not yet seen a report, and a decision about whether to publish it would be made later.
