Racing:Frankie Dettori has
decided to give up his five mounts today because he is still
feeling the effects from his fall last week.
He suffered bruising when unshipped from Fort Amhurst in the M-Real Stakes at Goodwood on Friday.
The popular Italian, due to partner the hot favourite Authorized in the Vodafone Derby at Epsom on Saturday, had one mount booked at Yarmouth this afternoon and four at Beverley's evening meeting.
He only returned to action yesterday evening at Sandown where he had four seconds from five rides after hurting his knee.
His agent Ray Cochrane today moved to ease the concerns of Authorized backers, who are eager to see their man in the saddle come Saturday.
"His knee's sore. He'll be back tomorrow night at Sandown," said Cochrane.
