Police divers believe that they have located bodies in the wreckage of the Tullaghmurry Lass, the Kilkeel (Co Down) fishing vessel which sank in February with three generations of one family on board.
Parts of the wheelhouse of the boat were found last month.
Based on video footage taken at the location of the wreckage, divers now believe that they have discovered bodies of some or all of the missing members of the Greene family.
The boat was lost on February 14th last. On board were Mr Michael Greene (54), his son, Michael (32), and his eight-year-old grandson, also called Michael.
A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said that the divers were working in dangerous conditions. Visibility was poor and it would take some time for them to be able to confirm that bodies were in the wreckage.
"There are no shortcuts to this search and investigation," the spokesman added.
