When manager Tara O'Sullivan threw a party on Tuesday to open her new and rather huge restaurant - Di Maggio's at the Plaza Complex in Tallaght - she pulled out all the stops. There were Joe and Marilyn look-a-likes doing the rounds and even a beautiful red Ford Galaxie 500 convertible to bring journalists out from town. Kevin Reynolds, producer of RTE's Liveline, arrived in this fashion accompanied by his wife-to-be, actress Karen Hastings-Belshaw, who soon settled down for a good chat with a group of actor friends including Claudia Carroll, Lorcan Cranitch (the new mystery man in Ballykay) and Marion Dwyer.

Ironically, given that much of the chat was about Clinton's blue video debut that day, the glass case behind them contained the white shoes worn by Marilyn Monroe in that scene from Some Like It Hot.
