The former Bishop of Galway, Dr Eamonn Casey, is expected in London this week, when his visit to missionary colleagues in Central America comes to an end, Patsy McGarry, Religious Affairs Correspondent, reports.
It is expected he will be based there for the foreseeable future and will be staying with friends. In coming weeks he is likely to visit Ireland, as discussions continue about his future.
Dr Casey left Ecuador, where he had been working for the last five years, at the end of June.
