Ryder Cup captain Sam Torrance has pulled out of this week's Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland, partly because he is "physically and emotionally drained."
The 49-year-old Scot said: "I've been carried along on a tide of emotion since Sunday night and feel physically and emotionally drained by the euphoria of the Ryder Cup victory.
"I also have a problem with my neck which is causing some discomfort and in the circumstances I don't feel fully prepared to play this week."
Torrance was due to partner actor Don Johnson, but his place has now been taken by Dutchman Robert-Jan Derksen. The Scot, third in the Scottish PGA championship last month, withdrew from the German Masters through injury three weeks ago.
Nine members of his team - all bar Sergio Garcia, Jesper Parnevik and Bernhard Langer - are participating in the £3 million pro-am, over £500,000 of which goes to Sunday's winner.
Former European number one Ronan Rafferty has also pulled out. The Irish golfer has a wrist injury and is replaced by France's Sebastien Delagrange.
