Dublin gardaí search for missing woman (75)

Concern is growing over a woman (75) who has been missing from her home in west Dublin since Tuesday.

Concern is growing over a woman (75) who has been missing from her home in west Dublin since Tuesday.

Mary McDermott has not been seen since disappearing from her home in the Ninth Lock area of Newcastle Road, Lucan.

Mrs McDermott, who has Alzeheimer's disease, is described as being five feet, one inch in height, with grey hair and glasses. When last seen, she was wearing a lilac type fleece top and walking with a small black and white dog.

There was a sighting of a woman fitting her description at 10am on July 20th in the area of the canal.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the area and who may have seen the woman to contact them at Lucan Garda station (01-6667300).
