Gardaí in Dublin have renewed an appeal for information about the mother of a baby girl whose body was found dead on Sandymount beach last year.
The infant - who was about one week old - was found in a canvas sports bag, wrapped up in a towel and rug, on July 14th last.
Superintendent Gerry Phillips of Donnybrook Garda station appealed for the mother of the infant to come forward.
He said she would be treated with the utmost sensitivity. The baby was buried this morning at Glasnevin cemetery.
