The single largest planning application in the history of the State will see the development of a technology campus in west Dublin with the potential to create up to 2,500 jobs.

"The delivery of this campus will help provide thousands of new jobs for some of the fastest-growing communities in the country, in Grange Castle, Adamstown and Clondalkin," said local Fianna Fáil TD John Curran.

"The site is next to the Wyeth plant, which is already the largest bio-pharmaceutical plant in the world and the Takada facility. It will be developed on a phased basis to ensure minimum disruption during the construction phase," Mr Curran said.

"We are now one of the prime sites in the country for high-tech firms which deliver quality jobs. I know we can compete with any other location in Europe," he added.
