Antoine Sibierski ensured Manchester City boss Kevin Keegan was able to breathe a much-needed sigh of relief at the end of a pulsating relegation battle.

With eight minutes left, City made the breakthrough when Sibierski arrived with perfect timing in the area to head an right-wing cross from Sun Jihai beyond Robinson and score his third of the season.
