3,000 expected at 3-day Education Show

Books, blackboards, videos, desks, games . . . the list of items on show at the up-coming Education Show Ireland 1998 is extensive. Over 3,000 visitors are expected to attend again this year.The three-day event at the RDS, Dublin, will be a chance to see the latest developments in educational products, services and technology. Principals, teachers and purchasing officers will be able to bring themselves up to date on what's new in educational technology. They can attend demonstrations and workshops, gather samples and information, place orders and take advantage of special prices.The exhibition - from March 26th to March 28th - includes a broad range of companies. It's aimed at teachers, lecturers, principals, department heads, bursars, pre-school and Montessori owners, inspectors, retailers, librarians and department heads.A number of seminars will be conducted by Lynne Lawrence, director of training and schools at the Maria Montessori International Centre in Britain. Lawrence, an international visiting examiner for the Association Montessori Internationale, has been speaking around the world on Montessori issues for the past five years.The Education Show Ireland, now in its third year, is run in association with The Irish Times. It will feature over 100 specialist suppliers from all over Ireland and Britain. Admission is free. Products and services on display will include art and craft material, audio visual equipment, computers and educational software, furniture, storage and display systems, library resources and musicial instruments.
