If you're unable to leave home to go to classes, RTE will be running a comprehensive series of Open Learning programmes on Network 2 during the autumn and winter. Transmission has already begun for the new season. Programmes kick off at 10.45 each morning. The early part of the schedule is aimed primarily at children with the adult programmes starting around 11.30. However, the schedule varies from day to day. On Mondays, for example, there is a series on child development. On Tuesdays it's possible to study sign language and the psychology of human behaviour. Painting is on the agenda on Wednesdays. Other topics covered include foreign languages, guitar, workplace training, history of art, introduction to literature, DIY, and life on the Internet.
