Rapid and dramatic changes in Irish and international business are putting intense pressure on directors and senior managers, who must steer their organisations successfully through turbulent waters.

Intense competition and the globalisation of world markets, coupled with changing organisational structures and work practices, require skilled handling and the ability to think strategically about business in the future.

Between next month and June 1999, the Irish Management Insitute will run a programme aimed at those responsible for strategy and general business development within their organisations. Directors (executive and nonexecutive), chief executives and senior line managers of medium and large companies are all eligible to participate.

This course assumes a significant level of business experience and a good working knowledge of company finance. The six core modules will cover corporate governance, strategic management, financial management, senior management practice, organisation and general business issues such as the global economy and information technology.
