Mol An Oige, the annual general meeting of the Irish Preschool Playgroups Association (IPPA), takes place this Friday to Sunday. Celebrating its 30th birthday, the IPPA is presenting an international conference on early-childhood education and care. Guest speakers include David Elkind, professor of child study at Tufts University in Massachusetts, speaking on "Miseducation".
The IPPA will launch the final report of its "Communities in Action" project on the opening day, when the proceedings will be opened by Frank Fahy, minister of state at the Department of Health and Children.
