TRINITY NEWS, Ireland's oldest student paper, has been shortlisted for three prestigious Guardian student media awards.

The categories it has been nominated in were best critic, best designer and the shoestring award for excellence on a limited budget.

Last year's editor, Damien Connon, was nominated in the designer category. "I think the nominations are a reflection of the hard work the whole team put in throughout the year," he said. The awards ceremony takes place on October 21st.
