Lecture by Minister for Health at UL
The Minister for Health and Children, Mary Harney, will deliver a public lecture entitled The Role of the State in Healthcare in 21st-Century Ireland at the University of Limerick on Thursday. Revision seminar for Leaving Certificate mathematics students
The Irish Mathematics Teachers Association (Cork Branch) present their annual revision seminars for both Higher and Ordinary Level students in the Boole Lecture Theatres, UCC, on Saturday, January 31st. Role Model Day for Women in Engineering at DIT
The Faculty of Engineering, Dublin Institute of Technology, presents Role Model Day – Women in Engineering, on Friday, January 30th.
This event will give female secondary school pupils an insight into the world of women engineers and technologists.
The event is targeted at transition year, fifth- and sixth-year girls. Places are limited to 200 and will be allocated on receipt of registration forms, which are available at www.dit.ie. Each school may book a maximum of 10 places. Completed forms must be submitted by Monday and schools will be notified if they have been successful in reserving places.

UCD computer workshops for Leaving Cert students
UCD school of computer science and informatics will be running introductory workshops for Leaving Cert students interested in pursuing computer science as their primary degree programme. The free workshops run from 11am to 4pm and include a complimentary lunch.
The workshops provide an overview of the computer science degree programme choices available at UCD as well as instructing in the basic concepts of software development. There are places available on Saturday, February 7th and Saturday, February 21st . Priority will be given to current Leaving Cert students.
