Leaving Cert history

- It was alright, but just alright. Document was grand, Vietnam no prob. Movements for reform ... WHERE WAS HOME RULE??? It's like a good half the book!!!

- While I got on alright and am actually really pleased, I thought it was a horrific paper and I think there will be uproar about it.

- No Parnell AT ALL!? That's ridiculous. Not only was Parnell not on the paper but the Home Rule question was Redmond vs Edward Carson!?! That was crazy.

- No Mussolini? What a joke. The propaganda question that came up was Goebbels and Riefenstahl, no Speer made it awkward to talk about Nuremberg rallies. Disgrace.

- No Sinn Féin 1918 elections? Joke. I really think that it was a really harsh paper. I was lucky because I prepared Euch Congress, Cult Nat and knew Civ Pop pretty well. But yeah, horrible, horrible paper I think.

- Thought it was pretty good. Did the Treaty, GAA and Nazi propaganda. Thought Nazi propaganda was a bit iffy but meh. I got through it. Now I can just forget every single thing I learned. yeaaaaaaaaaah.

- I thought it was a nice paper especially the European Dict&Democracy book qts!

My hand is killing me but I am really happy. One thing that did really annoy me - no Parnell in any shape or form! How was that possible!

Supervisor behaviour

- Ours rocked, he was really nice, kept making jokes and coming up with rhymes. ("Zippo with the lippo" is one I won't forget for a long time).

He even gave us all sweets at the end of history earlier, what a legend . . .

- She's noisy, always talking to the person outside the door and gets really annoyed if people aren't exactly on time.

She called one student a maggot for being about two minutes late the other day!!

- Our guys a ledge, from somewhere up North. Asks everyone how they got on and makes jokes.

Good to have that to calm you down in the hall.

- We have a lovely old woman. Today was her last day. I was the only one in the class before the French aural and we had a nice chat for about 10 minutes. She was asking what I wanted to do and telling me not to worry. Lovely lady.

- Moving exam centre tomorrow and supposedly your man is a bit of a fool.

What did ye think of French?

- I thought the aural was very good! I did the obligatory on a happy event in Ireland. I also did the journal and the reaction on voting. Comprehensions were nice. Overall . . . DELIGHTED!!

- I have to say the imagination in that paper was non existent . . . The comprehensions were dull and the production ecrite was even worse. Some of the topics I'd be pushed to think of something to say about them in English . . . Definitely not a good paper to show your grasp of the language anyway!
