JUNIOR CERT - TECHNICAL GRAPHICS:YESTERDAY MORNING'S Junior Cert exams in technical graphics were described as "testing but balanced" by teachers.
ASTI subject representative John O'Sullivan praised the papers for the way they tested students' knowledge and understanding of the course by rooting questions in the real world. "It heightens the relevance of the subject when students can relate it back to their everyday lives."
The higher level paper was "nicely pitched", according to TUI subject representative Micheál Martin. "Section A was pretty balanced. Students looking for a high grade would have had to have all concepts covered."
Ordinary level students were greeted with an "excellent exam paper", said Mr O'Sullivan.
"Students' knowledge and understanding of course content was tested in a varied and interesting manner."
