Law is widely taught in Irish universities, IoTs and private colleges. UCD, Trinity, UCC, NUI Galway and UL are all forerunners but there are others with good reputations. Griffith College Dublin is popular.

For entry to the King’s Inns’ training for degree of barrister-at-law, and to be called to the bar, candidates must hold either an approved law degree or the King’s Inns’ own diploma in legal studies. (kingsinns.ie).
