A spell of mainly bright, warm weather is in store for most of the country from midweek after a weekend of strong winds and heavy showers.
Met Éireann said patchy rain on Monday will become confined to western and northern coastal areas during the day, with brighter spells developing in Munster and Leinster.
Maximum temperatures will be 12 to 16 degrees.
Tuesday will be mild will see cloudy conditions in the northern part of the county but good sunny spells in the south and maximum temperatures 13 to 17 degrees.
Met Éireann says the second half, including the weekend, will be mostly dry and settled generally with temperatures averaging 12 to 15 degrees. The evenings will be chilly with a risk of frost.
According to Met Éireann early indications suggest that there will be little change for the early days of next week.
