England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson retained some experience for the World Cup finals as Arsenal veteran Martin Keown was picked alongside Joe Cole and Wes Brown in his 23-man squad.
Blackburn striker Matt Jansen - a scorer in the 4-3 defeat to Liverpool last night - has not been picked. But Tottenham striker Teddy Sheringham will travel to the Far East along with Owen Hargreaves and Southampton youngster Wayne Bridge.
Midfielder Nicky Butt was also included along with captain David Beckham despite their respective injuries. Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy has been placed on standby.
