France's Euro Disney reported a €56 million net annual loss today amid a lacklustre climate for tourism and as its new park failed to meet expectations.
The losses at the debt-laden European outpost of the Disney empire for the period ending in September were smaller than analysts' forecasts of €59 million but wider than a loss of €33.1 million a year ago. A provisional figure of €58 million was recently leaked to the press.
Loss before exceptional items was €67.9 million versus a €4.9 million profit in the year-ago period.
