A British soldier was killed by an explosion in southern Iraq today.
The soldier is the 100th British service member to die in the campaign since the US-led invasion in 2003.
The Ministry of Defence said three other soldiers were hurt, one seriously, in the explosion this morning in Iraq's Basra province.
