Training agency Fás is to run specialised training courses for almost 270 workers who lost their jobs in last month's fire at a Longford pet food company.
"We will be running specific training courses depending on the needs of the C&D workers. So far, we have had a lot of enquiries about Safe Pass courses, dumper driving, warehousing, and other construction-related courses," said spokeman Joe McGuinness.
Over 230 workers are going back to their jobs at C&D, which was badly damaged by a fire on January 15th.
