The father of a missing Dublin man has travelled to Paris to try and find him.
Mr Ros Finucane (21), from Dundrum, who suffers from schizophrenia, may have run out of medication according to his father, Mr Patrick Finucane.
Mr Finucane said that without his medication his son would become "very confused and really incapable of looking after himself".
The last known sighting of Mr Ros Finucane was on October 18th by a number of people in Dundrum. Mr Finucane said his son "cleared out his credit union account of €309" that day.
In the following days he left a message on the home phone telling Mr Finucane he was sorry for leaving, that he needed money, and that he was in France. He did not give any other information. Last week Mr Finucane received a bill from a clinic in the Bois de Boulogne area of Paris for €20.
Mr Finucane said the Irish Embassy had contacted the clinic, but the clinic refused to give any information saying there was a "patient-doctor confidentiality issue".
He said his son could be sleeping rough in the Bois de Boulogne. "He will not be eating or drinking properly and needs reminding about health and hygiene."
Gardaí are liaising with police in Paris. Mr Finucane said it was not clear how his son had travelled to Paris and appealed to anyone who think they might have seen him on an aircraft or bus to make contact.
Described as 5ft 9in tall, with short dark hair, of medium build and wearing glasses, Mr Ros Finucane is probably unshaven. He may be wearing a white tracksuit top and cream bottoms and may be carrying a small blue rucksack. Anyone with information is asked to contact gardaí at Rathfarnham on 01-6666500 or the Irish Embassy in Paris.
