Killorglin-based Fexco is to create 140 jobs following the signing of a customer service contract with Bord Gáis.

Killorglin-based Fexco is to create 140 jobs following the signing of a customer service contract with Bord Gáis.

Fexco executive chairman Brian McCarthy said the contract was an opportunity to develop a "long-term strategic partnership with Bord Gáis". He said the company was committed to developing its services outsourcing capability.

Bord Gáis ceo John Mullins said the customer-service expertise at Fexco would help energy supplier as it moves into the residential electricity market.

Fexco is privately owned with Western Union holding a minority shareholding.
