Fire fighters put out a fire in the former Irish Timesbuilding in D'Olier Street in Dublin today.

Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade and an ambulance were at the scene of the fire and gardaí redirected traffic.

Fleet street was closed between Westmoreland Street and D'Olier Street for a time. A Garda spokeswoman said there were no reports of injuries.

The Irish Times occupied the building from 1882 but moved to new and expanded premises last October.
